Charles Eisenstein is a philosopher and alternative economist. He is the author, most recently, of Sacred Economics, a book that seeks “to make money and human economy as sacred as everything else in the universe.” I caught up with him and asked him to explain a little about how the city of Madison might look if it operated under what he calls a gift economy.
